REFRAIN
So many times, so many places you have run hoping that you could
escape love But when will you learn that living with out love
can’t be done. When will you see, oh heart of mine, God
made you for love The battle goes on, there’s so much to
do and all that He wants is time just with you But you can’t
do it now there’s no time to day just to be quiet and pray
REFRAIN Hmmm What could it be now, this pain that save? Is it
someone you thought you forgave? REFRAIN REFRAIN When will you
see, oh heart of mine, God made you for love
My
Summer Window 4:13 Vocals, Guitar, Music, Lyrics by Fr. Bryan
J. Bayda, C.Ss.R. © 1980
I’m
staring out my summer window wishing I was at the sea watching
waves caress the seashore just the sand, the waves and me (repeat)
REFRAIN I can’t explain this feeling that always overtakes
my soul It’s like a peace, a deep serenity It makes me whole
Just like the birds swimming in the sky I ride the waves, the
water stings my eye Oh in my mind I’m at the seashore walking
barefoot in the sand talking to an empty seashell I’ve got
the sea at my command REFRAIN Na, na, na, na, I ride the waves,
the water stings my eye ‘m staring our my summer window
wishing I was at the sea painting all these peaceful pictures
pictures for my memory wishing I was at the sea (repeat)
Message
In A Bottle 6:20 Vocals, Guitar, Music, Lyrics by Fr. Bryan J.
Bayda, C.Ss.R. © 1979
It
must be years ago I sealed my name and address in a bottle sent
it ‘cross the sea And hoped that it‘d be found by
a friend someone who really cared about me You don’t know
how I wished that I could tell my plastic friends there someone
who cares that I’m alive But no, I waited sunset after sunset
always no reply, still there’s no reply REFRAIN Why do I
dance to all their songs? They don’t forgive me when I’m
wrong And now I have learned to live alone It feels like my heart
has turned to stone It’s no fun, living all alone, all alone
Then I decided it was time to take a walk into the forest the
one that’s in my mind and try to get away from their silence
find another kind, peace of mind I followed pebbled paths until
they led me to an open meadow where I laid in the hay and kicked
off both my shoes with my troubles thought back to the day, sorry
day when I used to say REFRAIN And then my dream came true one
day as I had gone to check my mailbox the flag was in the air
And I ran to open up a single letter signed by, One Who Cares
One Who Cares It read, Oh I believe we certainly can care for
one another, for someone far away for someone we don’t know
who might be lonely It never hurts to pray Who knows, it might
be you someday’ ‘So don’t try to dance to all
their songs Cause most won’t forgive you when you’re
wrong But don’t try to make it all alone cause too soon
your heart will turn to stone’ ‘Take it from me, one
who has also thrown bottles in the a sea of my own (repeat)
Better
Than Gold 6:04 Vocals, Guitar, Music, Lyrics by Fr. Bryan J. Bayda,
C.Ss.R. © 1983
I
see trees on the pond I see them now but so soon they’re
gone rusty red and amber gold, the leaves they fall to wake me
from my dream summer is turned to fall I look to see what I can
reflecting pool shows an older man stories told just by his eyes
and by his hands he wants to rest his soul he’s done all
that he can REFRAIN Memories are all he has rich man now poorly
clad But deep down inside he knows that riches in heaven are better
than gold Things always had gone his way He hardly knew how to
spend his day He feared nothing in his world until one night when
death had claimed his friend it made him see the light So he went
in search of his soul He questioned men who were wise and old
Simple words they offered him, Give up your gold They said it
would be hard but look to God. Be bold! REFRAIN So he gave up
all that he had It wrenched the soul he never knew he had Pain
and suffering filled his eyes and shaped his hands He had no more
to give. He felt it was God’s plan So now he sits by the
pond reflecting mirror of which he’s fond going over all
those years now passed and gone His gentle soul awaits a resting
place in God Memories are all he has rich man now poorly clad
And over the years he’s learned how riches in heaven are
given not earned And deep down inside he knows that riches in
heaven are better than gold.
Searching
For Silence 4:07 Vocals, Guitar, Music, Lyrics by Fr. Bryan J.
Bayda, C.Ss.R. © 1984
I
see sailing boats on the bay and as they’re drifting out,
my mind, it slips away to an island where I’d rather be
just the Lord and me There’s times when everything’s
going wrong I’d like to wave a wand and hope that they’ll
be gone But magic answers I will never find I must pray for peace
of mind REFRAIN I’m searching for silence and I can’t
escape the noise inside And I don’t think I’ll find
it Help me Lord, I’ve cried Is there someone to help me,
who can make the storm aside? Is there someone to be my guide?
Then Christ recalled when He was a boy There were so many things
that filled my life with joy but there were times I felt so all
alone rejection no one’s ever known ÒI sometimes
thought of Gethsemane the blows, the nails, the spear and dying
on the tree But I found comfort in my mother’s arm Silence
no one can harm So if you’re searching for silence and you
can’t escape the noise inside and you don’t think
you’ll find it Well I have heard your cry There’s
someone to help you who can make the storm subside My Mother will
be your guide. (repeat)
Evening
Air 3:28 Vocals, Guitar, Music, Lyrics by Fr. Bryan J. Bayda,
C.Ss.R. © 1982
Cool
and refreshing is the evening air Slowly running fingers through
my hair REFRAIN Oh, what a day it was . . . torn everywhere But
now you’re next to me Evening Air, Evening Air Soft and
soothing is your hand on mine As your whisper helps to clear my
mind REFRAIN Evening Air, Evening Air, Evening Air.
